In my teenage years, I used to really dislike reading. I couldn't get through one assigned book for any of my classes. It was only when I started to want to know more did I actually begin to read books. When I became serious about my faith I really wanted to know more about how to change my soul to make it more pleasing to God. Thus, I began to read and read and read.
Here is a list of amazing Catholic books that I loved reading. I always go back to reading them because they motivate me to keep trying. They're amazing!

The 12 Steps to Holiness and Salvation (Amazon Link)
Written from the works of St. Alphonsus Liguori, this book is super simple to understand and it gets straight to the point. It explains 12 different virtues and habits that will help you save your soul. Also, it includes many quotes and examples from the Bible and from the lives of the saints. It's great!

3. Eucharistic Miracles

If you ever feel tempted to doubt the real presence of Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament you should read this book. It is full of Eucharistic miracles that occurred throughout history and in the lives of the saints. It leaves you with a lasting impression that helps you secure faith. You can tell that the writer of this book really did her research.

This book is great to learn more about Mary. By reading this book you will learn how God has given us His Mother for the salvation of mankind. It is separated into many sections, which makes it easy to read. You will grow to love the Virgin Mary by reading this book.

Introduction to the Devout Life is a book explaining the basics of the Catholic life. It's written for someone who has chosen to take their faith more seriously. It's a great book for those who wish to leave behind the worries of the world and follow Christ. Although it was written a few centuries ago, the advice in the book is still applicable to modern day life.

8. Know Your Mass (Link)
By studying this book, or should I say comic book, I am now able to follow and understand the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. It is great for kids and converts as it illustrates and clearly explains each step of the Traditional Latin Mass. I am now able to follow along with my missal and make the most out of every mass I attend.
